Craftily Ever After

Hello, girls! Here's a little before and after project. These are two, small, ugly fabric front picture thingies for the Goodwill for 35 cents each. Thankfully, my camera skills have developed a bit since this picture was taken! Now here they are after a little loving care. They now hang on my craft room wall where they remind me that all things are possible with pretty fabric and paint!

I'm busy finishing up Priscila's art challenge.
I hope you're all having a great week end!

Drink that coffe, girl! Have you ever had a Gingerbread latte? I've heard that they are very yummy!

Those turned out so pretty! I am sorry now that I have passed up a few things like that at the thrift store because I didn't have the inspiration like you did. Good job! Twyla

Thanks, Twyla! I have soooo many little Goodwill "make over" projects just waiting to be done. I've been trying to cut back on the "needs help" thrift store finds and concentrate on the ready to go items instead. I have plenty of inspiration but little discipline! Ha!

At the Goodwill I will circle the store and look down at the items in my cart and then I ask myself some hard questions like, "Holly, do you REALLY think you're going to paint that thing?" Do you REALLY like that doo-dad?" Then I sheepishly turn back around and put some things back on the shelf. :> Life's tough. :>

Those are cute. I like things like that too

Good evening, Gin! I was just thinking about you. ;>

I like little decorations like these because I can stick them here and there as "fillers" or even on a small wall that seems sad and lonely.

I try to do that too, Holly. I have so many to do projects and not enough time or I forget what I was going to do with. My house runneth over! Twyla

Yeah, I hope that was okay, Jenny. It's not exactly a "project" but it's there where I can see it being cute everyday!

Hi, Twyla!

Ya know, I have PLENTY of project storage space *outside* of my house with my basements and storage buildings, but once something is banished to those parts, I just might not see it again!

One of my dreams is to have oragnized, clean basements and storage buildings some day. :>

WOW what a difference some paint makes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY BETTER! 35 cents? DAng I cant get anything that cheap here

Goodwill just raised their prices, Priscila. Now something like that would be 45 cents. :> But yeah, west coast is always going to be more- especially Cali.

These are so pretty. I have to say that I love them both ways! What a deal for these....these things would have cost a good bit at an antique store. I've seen them, and they aren't cheap at all. Were they silk screen printed? I bet they were. You took them from vintage french chic and gorgeous.....(I say that because you know I love old stuff)....To Cottage Shabby Chic Precious and Gorgeous! I love the new spin you put on them...Very creative and cute! What a difference some paint and fabric make!

Oh, Queenie, I knew someone would like them before, too! :> I guess I don't like the "french" style! Yes, they were a silk print but very faded. And they probably weren't too costly originally because they are actually made out of plastic!
