Goodwill Retail Therapy

Morning girls! After spending so much time at home with a sick boy lately, I was really ready for some retail therapy yesterday! (I never even heard of that expression until recently!) Look at these pretty chair pads that I found! They are very soft and fluffy. They will go well in my dinning room. And I finally found a white tree! I hope to have 2 trees next year. A live, green traditional one like I usually have in the living room and then this white one in either the dinning room or computer room. Then I'll probably leave the white one up and change it to a Valentine tree and maybe even an Easter one! We'll see.
I also found 3 tops that I won't show because I hate how huge my clothes look on the hanger! ☺ (I am a confessed topaholic.) Let's see, I also picked up some books for the grand's next love package and I also found some secret things that I can't show because they are possible future gifts for bloggy friends! ☺ It's so much fun to see things that my e girls might like!

We'll be off to the Dr's. later today to see why Micah isn't getting well. I'm hoping Bobby will take some of his family leave because I am so drug out from the strain of all this. But- the Lord knows what I need!

Thanks for coming by and being my bloggy buddies!
Hope you all don't have to go to the Drs. today! Ha-ha!

Don't you just love the Goodwill! You never know what treasure you will turn up there. I found two pair of Ann Taylor slacks last week with the tags still on them! 3.50 each!

Hope Micah gets to feeling better soon!

Thanks, Linda! Ooh! I love your little baker girl avatar. I saw her on another blog, also! Can I have her, too? ☺

I love when I find exspensive clothes at the GW- especially when they still have their tags on!

Thanks, Noelle! I am so ready for Micah to get better!!!

Yes, I've seen your mom's tree- that's what gave me the idea! I'm this split personality type of person. I love the shabby white stuff but no way can I do with out my old country type of tree!

I wanted a white tree a bit smaller but I was afraid I wouldn't get one at all if I waited. If another smaller one comes along, I'll give this one back.

Have a good day at school!

I think you had great luck at the GW. I wish you could go all the time! I sure pray that you will find out what's been making Micah sick today. Hope all is well. You both will be in my thoughts today. Twyla

Thanks, Twyla! I so hate to go to the Dr. :< Hey, I have to ask you a secret for a certain someone... E mail me if it's safe.

Oh poor Micah :( What does he have?

I have been really busy with family issues, but I am going to email you in a minute sweetie :) So SORRY! Things have been a bit stressful at bunny rose cottage this last week :(

I have a three foot pink tree in my dining room that is decorated with cupcakes and bunnies. And I add to it for the holidays. I just love it!

Holly said...

Hi, Amy! Micah's main complaint is weakness.

So, you have gotten my emails. That's cool- no need to hurry and write back if there's stress at the cottage!

Yes, I have seen your sweet tree!

I hope you guys are all feeling better soon! There was a nasty bug going around here that people at my hubby's office were calling the 90 day flu because it took so long to get over!! Good Luck and let us know!

Great finds Holly. Love the pretty floral seat cushions. I find it so amazing when I see all the pretty things my fellow bloggers are so lucky to find at the Goodwill store. I shop there occasionally, but never seem to have as much luck. Won't stop me from going back again though. The thrill of the hunt is what I enjoy the most!!

Hi Holly,
That's it...tomorrow I AM going to the Thrift store..I'm having withdrawl and I'm sure I can hunt up a few dollars somewhere in the house!!!
Hope you kido will be better soon. Not fun for anyone.
Off to mark stuff for the upcoming sale.. it's a sickness, I know!!!
How nice to receive the plates that you collect. There are some awesome gals out here..
Have a great weekend.

Retail Therapy...Oh,I just love that expression...I hope to go get me some of that tommorrow. You hit the jackpot with your goodies yesturday. Those roses chair pads are soooo shabby chic looking...and pretty. You always find the best stuff at your GW. I'm so glad you found that white tree...I'm looking forward to seeing your white tree this year all decorated....we are going to have so much fun having our own girly trees aren't we? I have planned for a girly tree in my bedroom this year. I got my tree on clearance pre-lit 6 foot, for $12.00, if my memory serves me right. I have always had a traditional tree in the living room too, and I love the traditional colors....but I've always wanted a girly tree. Oh, and I think it would be fun to keep that white tree up all year long and change out the decorations for different occasions and seasons...just think what fun you can have... how cute all of your tags would be on that white tree, or vintage postcards. I think I would have a year round tree if I had the room. You know my grandma does right?! Well, hope that you have a great weekend.
P.S. I hope Micah is getting better.

Hi, Kim! The trick is to go to the thrift store weekly! But... new items are added all through out the day so who knows what we miss out on! ☺

Holly said...

It's Deb the cupcake eating expert! ~ wink ~ I was so ready to go thrifting yesterday! I think it had been 2 whole weeks or even more!!!

Holly said...

Queenie, we will have fun having our own girly trees because we need girl stuff in our boy filled lives! I'd put my tree in my bedroom but with Bobby working nights and sleeping in the room by day, I'd never get to see it!
