The Top Of Your Fridge Deserves To Be Decorated!

Yes, girls, that's right! Our humble refrigerators deserve the same treatment as our china hutches! For years, the top of my fridge was a haven for cereal boxes, junk and especially dust! But no more! (Just don't click to enlarge!) Doesn't this look like a better alternative? But as I move in cloooooooser- what is this?! What do I see hiding back there? Ah-ha!

And here?! ~ Gasp ~ For shame! A pink filled vintage pop bottle and an empty fish bowl? Oh, brother!

~ Sigh ~
Well, I tried....
~ Wink ~

Don't be too hard on yourselves today, girls!
It's fun to laugh at ourselves.

I agree that the top of the fridge is often overlooked. This is a great idea to display cookbooks and bigger items that might get in the way on the counter. Looks great!

Well, you just have to have a place to stick things sometimes. You have them cleverly concealed:) Don't worry, I Never take myself too seriously. I know what a goof I am! Twyla

Hi Holly, Yes I agree the refrig needs to be in the spotlight!! My refrig does not have the usual tiny cabinets overtop. Instead I have a framed picture of magnolias overtop my refrig. The picture is as wide as the refrig is. The picture is more wider than tall with a wide frame so it kinda frames the refrig inplace of cabinet doors. Considering my refrig is kinda old, I like my picture better than the refrig.

Morning, Gin! Yeah those tiny cabniets are supposed to be hiding my junk but then I'd have to MOVE the cook books, etc. so I "hid" my junk. So desperate... :>

Hey Girl!
Thank you for putting me in your sidebar...girl I am completely honored to be in such great company....Well, I think the top of the refrig. is a great place to put some pretties, especially if anyone is like me, and has limited display space in the kitchen. Your frig. top is great place to put your cookbooks and the basket of flowers. It looks cute! I'll tell you what I have on top of my frig..... a silver tea set and my recipe box. Girl, You crack me up with your sigh...and hiding the other stuff behind the pretties! LOL! Great way to conceal things that you don't want seen. Hope you have a great day!

Queenie

Hi, Noelle, Priscila and Queenie!

The main point I really wanted to make in this post was not that we *shouldn't* have junky fridge tops but that it's *fun* to laugh at ourselves! ;>

Queenie, the towel on the fridge came with the other french linen looking towel on my table and those were the 2 fabrics that I saw combined into a Christmas stocking on Etsy with White pom poms on it! It was so cute!!!! I would never think to make a stocking out of those 2 fabrics! I just love the creativity that is found on Etsy!

Me again. I would love for you to add me to your sidebar too please. I put you on my sidebar a while back so I can just click on you everymorning, and every noon and every night. It's always an inspiration to "see" you every morning. Like this morning with that refrig post. Who would of every thought of that!!! Except you of course! I love it!!

Hi Holly, so cute!! I love your post and yes, I do decorate my fridge top, but once in awhile, some unforseen item gets in the mix! LOL!! Like you said, we try!! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had a nice New Year and all the best in 2009. I have been slow getting around to blog friends, having internet issues, but getting it fixed and new provider tomorrow. Yippe!!!

Got my redo finished and will post them soon when back up and running!

Have a great weekend.
hugs, Celestina Marie

Jenny, for some reason, your comments are not showing up on my e mail. They just sort of "hide" here in the moderation section and then I stumble upon them. How very strange...

Hee, I have chips, cereal boxes and doggie treats on top of my fridge! I love your idea much better. My dilema is that I seriously lack cabnet space. Most of my "pantry" type items are stored in the garage on shelves. I'm going to have to think about this and figure something out. I could always use new places to display my gingerbread men. Ü

I lack storage space, too, Syndee! Ugg!

Mine is always decorated too! A wine rack, a tray with a teapot on it and a basket of flowers :)

Hi, Amy! No sweet shop on top of your fridge? ;>
