Pansies, Johny Jump- Ups And Marriage Advice

Good Monday, girlies!
I was so excited to see my favorite flowers arrive at Walmart the other day!

They are patiently waiting for me to plant them once the weather clears up.

Don't they look happy?
And do you see my green painters tape on the living room window? Don't ask. ☺
****************************************
And now, spring is coming and love is in the air! So here's a little marriage advice:
As a woman who has been married to the same man for almost 29 years, I feel like I have learned a thing or two but believe me- it's not perfection! The main advice that I like to pass on was also given in a woman's magazine recently and it is this:
You are going to have to choose to either ignore or have a sense of humor about your husband's faults. It's simple but OH so true. It won't change the fact that he will do absolutely ☺ idiotic things or occasionally break your heart no matter how hard you laugh but this little bit of advice will smooth out many a bump in the road!
This doesn't mean that there is *never* a time to seriously discuss a fault but I'm telling you, it better be a BIG one. Do YOU like to be corrected? I know, I don't! There's also a WAY to address a problem but maybe I'll save that one for another time...
Thanks for coming by sweeties and I hope you all have a wonderful day full of laughter and love!

hi hun! love your flowers!! will you come plant some for me?? as for the marriage advice, thank you!! i needed that this morning. my brian can be a bigger baby than our almost 2 year old sometimes! lol he spent the whole day yesterday being mad at me because i ate one of the pb cups that i bought him!! good grief! i think he mostly was annoyed because we had a big discussion the night before about us trying to eat better and lose some weight before the wedding; mainly me because i am always complaining about how i look and don't try very hard to change it. i just thought it was ridiculous for him to hang onto it ALL day long, ya know??

oh well, hopefully the bug is out of his butt today because its our anniversary and he's supposed to be taking me out for japanese!! yum! so we'll see!!

luv ya,
noelle ♥

p.s. a certain gal will be getting REALLY CUTE stuff in the mail in 2-4 days!!!! wonder who it is??? maybe you????? lol :)

Good morning, Amy! Thanks for coming by and celebrating Sping with me today! Robins, bunnies, chicks and flowers- SPRING makes me happy!

One of the things I love about Pansies is that they can handle the frost! Not in a planter- but in the ground.

I hope everyone takes the M.advice I gave as being given in a spirit of love. I talked to my grandkids yesterday so I'm feeling very motherly but a bit "bosy", too!

Oh, and that compliment on your collage came so easily! It actually gushed out! ☺ ♥

Good morning to you too, my adorable Noelle! Oh we are enjoying our swap- aeren't we?! Hee-hee! I gave your mom a sneak peek of one of the things you're getting and she said ... well, you'll see! ha-ha! Is that too much teasing? ☺ ♥

Now remember, I'm going to save what you send me for Easter... It will be hard but it will be worth it.

Good advice, Holly. I remember reading some advice when I first got married that has saved me much heart ache, I am sure. That lots of the things men say they want to do or going to do never happens, so don't be so quick to jump in and say, "You can't do that!" Your flowers look so cheery. I love pansies. Twyla

Good morning, Twyla! One of the things that Bobby and I laugh about is how men want to "fix" our problems and complaints when sometimes girls just want to talk about them! Ha-ha!

Oh, I love Pansies! I never grow tired of them. I wish I could grow Pansies year round here but it just gets too hot. :< Now see, I didn't expect you to "fix" that problem. Just relate in some way or sympathize! ☺ ♥

Hey Holly!
I love pansies too! I planted some back in October and I have had them all winter in my small flower bed out back....it makes the winter so much easier to bare....and they do take the frost well. I'll tell you though, they will not last much longer here in my yard, once it heats up.... Which it will begin doing real soon. I figure I'll be pulling them up in about 2 weeks, they will start looking raggedy. boohoo.... I'll replace them though, with some marigolds that can take our summer heat here in Florida. I bet you get alot longer spring up in Virginia. We have a very short spring....it sometimes seems as if we jump right into summer weather here. I'm ready though! Hope you have a wonderful time planting those pretty babies! It's always so fun to get those hands dirty isn't it?! I've been working outside too, raking and cutting things back ect...Girl,I can't believe that jumping cactus you told me about...gosh, that's wierd. We get cactus here in our yard sometimes, (do you believe that?) and I have spent a many of hour digging them up over the years, especially when we first got on our property, but none of them had the spikes jump at us. Whew, thank goodness! LOL!
By the way... very good marriage advice...words to live by for sure.
Hope you have a beautiful day!
Big Hug!

Come by and see my Pansies anytime, Diane! ♥

Hi, Queenie! So good to see you!

I usually have Winter Pansies planted and then I replace them with Spring Pansies but last Fall, no one was selling Winter Pansies!!! I missed them so much this year... You probably only have the Winter ones down there.

The cactus that is here, was planted on purpose- not wild. They do get pretty yellow flowers but I still don't like them! I like my plants to be friendly!

Hope you have a delightful week!

Holly said...

Hi, Jenny! do you plant flowers? ♥

Shabby Kim said...

Oh, those flowers look so pretty Holly. Just what I needed to see after a busy and stressful day at work. I can't wait until I can't plant some flowers myself. Need to wait another few months before I can do that though. We are at a balmy 66 degrees today and it feels wonderful. So nice to have the windows open and let some fresh air into the house. Hope you have a great week. I'll be back soon!!

Holly said...

Hi, Kim!

Glad my Pansies were here to greet you! We're supposed to start warming back up again tomorrow and I can hardly wait!

Pansies are wonderful! When I was a child, I was convinced they had faces, and could talk! I'm sure I heard them a few times.

You give great advice. (Grin)

Oh How lovely~you have your Pansies all ready to plant! We are Gardening Sisters both digging in the dirt and feeling Spring in the air!
Those are very pretty flowers, i wonder if they'll grow out here?
It's been gorgeous high 70's-80's but it will be in the 90's at the end of the week.
But no humidity,so it feels nice out...have to water the plants alot!!!
Whatcha painting?
I am no good at marriage~but your advise is good!!!
Tina

Hi Karen! Glad to see you out and about! ♥

Beth, i'm sure those pansies did talk to you! ☺ Sadly, i don't remember any Pansies in my childhood. My poor mother didn't have time for gardening! ♥

Tina, You might could grow Winter Pansy there in the winter but they only grow well in cooler temps.

I've been atempting to paint my living room wall since January... I guess i don't like to paint! ♥

Gee Holly, now I'm sad!! I bet I won't be able to do a thing in the flower beds for over a month! We always get that one lst snow! Some-one would so love to know he swap and boy are my lips sealed!! I can't wait till she sees it!!! Later,Love,Lori

Hi, Lori!

Pansies can tolerate snow! They just can't tolerate extreme heat.

I sure hope Noelle likes her suprises! ♥
