Spring Centerpiece

Do you girls remember this big Springy bowl that I found at the Goodwill last Winter? Well, it finally was allowed to come up from the basement! And this is what I did with it!

It needs more eggs in the bottom but it will have to wait until my next trip to town!

Isn't this bunny so sweet all nestled down in the top? My original thought was to fill the bowl to the top with eggs but that's a lot of bag$ of candy egg$!

It was really fun to make! I love the "pearled" Easter grass. It's supposed to be the kind that isn't as messy. We'll see... ☺

I finally finished planting all my Pansies yesterday. Poor things! I waited too long but it's been so RAINY lately that I kept putting it off. I also got my Tupperware cabinet cleaned out! A once a year job that I always appreciate once it's DONE.
I also had a whole lot of fun on facebook yesterday. Fecebook has brought so many of my old friends/ new friends and family together in one place. I love it! I've moved so many times and had to say good bye so many times that it's nice to feel some connection.
In the crafting department, I'm soon to start on a custom (suggested by me -not ordered by her) rag wreath for my wonderful daughter in law Sara. I'm so happy that she likes something that I can make for her Birthday! She choose Pink, Cream and Sage as her colors and it will have some sort of jeweled embellishments. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Well, I'll be off to the library today and to the post office today to mail my grandgirls Birthday present off. Come back tomorrow and I'll show you what I sent!

you'll be so proud of me.. i took down my winter wreath from the front door this weekend... and i got the spring one out too. i need to attach some raffia to it before i hang it though. i hope to do that today. finally did that and guess what? i woke up to snow this morning, lol! well, that's springtime in my part of the world;)

Wish your tummy felt better, Noelle!

I do good on the phone with someone else who is good on the phone. Does that make sense? Also, I do better when it's a set up call-not a suprise call when I'm in the middle of cooking or something. Maybe we could set up to talk when Bobby is out of town? I'll be needing to get more words in my day then! Ha!

Good for you, Diane! I know you feel a whole lot better with that wreath down!

My poor porch is starting to look very hillbillyish and I hope to spruce it up soon. We don't have any snow but we have high cold winds! Not exactly porch weather!

Have a great day, Diane! ♥

oh holly such a cute Easter piece. That bowl is definitely Easter!! Very cute. And when I went to that estate sale they had the upstairs blocked off so we couldn't go up there. They were very limited in us touring the house.

Hi, Gin! I'm too shy of the unknown to go to an estate sale! I'd have to go with a brave girl friend! ♥

This is just darling! I wish it was warm enough to plant pansies here. We are suppose to get snow tonight.

Holly said...

Good morning, Katie! Glad ER liked the bunny! It's sort of unique because it looks a bit real but its cute, too! ♥

Holly said...

Hi there, Terrie! Good to see you! We're supposed to get heavy frost tonight so who knows, we might get snow, too! ♥

Well, what did I say about you being creative?! That bowl makes an adorable Easter basket! I have a feeling once Easter is over you'll think of another 'pretty' to make of it. Oh, you spoke to Me, when you said you cleaned out your Tupperware cupboard. I haven't been able to shut my doors all the way where mine is stored for the past week and it's driving me crazy! I think I better take a hint from you and do that today! Have a wonderful day! Twyla

Good morning, Twyla! Glad I "spoke" to you this morning! Ha-ha! My problem is *too much* tupperware!

I have no idea what I'll do with the bowl after Easter... Maybe make a "planter" out it- lined with... something... The ideas are coming! That's what is good about writing! ♥

What a great idea Holly! The little bunny is so cute and I love the idea of the eggs on the bottom!
Have a happy Monday!

Holly said...

Ya know what, Karen? The only reason I put the candy on the bottom was to keep it from getting dirty! ☺ ♥

So cute, Holly. Clever you not to fill it up with candy... They would be very hard to resist in such a pretty bowl!

Hi Holly! We have sickness in this stupid house again :( I am so tired of it this year! It feels like spring will never fully get here. I am so ready for it to warm up. Sunday we had about an inch of snow :(
I am so glad you and your son are better now!

Hugs,
Amy
