Using My Linens

I've been washing and ironing up a lot of my vintage linens in the last few weeks. It's fun to move them all around and try them here and there. I wanted to show you this one. It would work on a tiny table top but I chose to put it on the dinning room table. It's only like this on the week end or after school though. We hardly ever eat here. It's a work table! Right now it's covered with school books, an easel and my next wreath project and the poor centerpiece is pushed aaaaaaaalllll the way to this end of the table.

But isn't this cloth pretty? Click to enlarge to see the details! Please ignore the incorrect and unwanted date in the corner. ☺

Well girls, the grass is totally Green now!!!! So welcome after the brown. The Forsythia is in full bloom and the Pear trees and Dogwoods are blooming, too. My Bridal Wreath bushes are about to burst open and then it will be my Pink Flowering Almond! I love the bushes and trees in my yard but I'm not attached. I've said good bye to too many yards to be capable of that!

Thanks for coming by and have a happy Monday as you greet the opportunities that this week provides you with!

Good morning, Diane! It was fun washing and ironing that cloth and anticipating what it would look like once it was all done! ♥

That is a beautiful centerpiece. Such a pretty cloth. What are you going to do with all your 'free' time? I bet lots of crafting. Have a beautiful day! Twyla

Tywla, when Bobby is gone, Micah is much more clingy and I don't get as much "free" time. Maybe it will be different this year. ♥

I always wanted vintage table cloths. My Hubby's grandma had some and I thought they were lovely.

Now I just have the store bought ones I use at Christmas time. They are also smaller, still pretty, but not as cool.

Hi, Vickie! I was given a large box of vintage linens for Chritmas! It was a dream come true! Well, not really, I never even dreamed that someone would do that for me! ♥

So pretty!! Have a question...how do you upload the pictures so that people can click them and make them bigger? Mine don't do that!

Hey Holly!
Your linens are precious...and so are those scrapbook Sunday photos of beautiful you and darling husband....Y'all are such a beautiful couple...
the bunny sighting post is so cute too! I hope it doesn't freeze here in the Northwest Florida Panhandle tonight and tomorrow night. There's a good chance, the weather man says... a cold front is coming through.
I know you are as thrilled to see those blooming trees and flowers as I am!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

P.S. I know you are gonna miss your Bobby...he'll be back before you know it. I hope that he has a nice and safe trip. We're here for you, if you need us girlfriend!

I am so jealous, did you see my post today...snow, so hearing about your flowers really makes me sigh! Love the delicate flowers on your tablecloth!

Such a beautiful vintage tablecloth indeed and how wonderful that you have given it a "new" life:-) You would have loved the auction I went to yesterday...they had this big box full of vintage linens, doilies, etc, and it went for only $3!! I didn't bid on it because I don't collect vintage linen...now seeing your beautiful tablecloth, I wish I would have bid on it! lol

It's snowing here again today so no green grass yet! Sigh! xoxo

Supposed to freeze and snow here too, Queenie. We've had a weird pattern of 80 degree days followed by snow a few days later. Weird...

Yeah, I *will* miss Bobby but Micah will miss him more- thus cling to me more! Yikes! I can handle it though. I've been a mom a long time. ☺

Katie, I *haven't* been by your place yet today. I'm on my way now. ♥

Oh PEA! $3.00! What a steal! the only type of auction I've been to is a livestock one... ♥

Hi, Jenny! My pics just do that automatically without me doing anything. I do upload mine strait from my computer windows program- not from photobucket or any other photo site. Could that make a difference???

Thanks again for sending me that decal photo. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Hi Holly,

What a beatiful table cloth. I just love the intricate embroidery and can just imagine all of the long hours of hard work someone put into the lovely piece. I've been wanting to start a collection of embroidered linens myselfm from table linens, bed linens and everything else in-between. I know someday soon that I will and that it will bring me as much happiness as your pretty linens do to you. A girl can never have too many pretty things to surround herself with.

Hi, Kim! ♥ I thought you did have some embroidered linens... Maybe I'm thinking of your crocheted doilies... I embroidered alongside my mother when I was a girl but I only vaguely remember what I did. Monarch butterflies maybe???

Hi, Gin! I haven't been to Texas in years... I hate to travel anymore. Maybe that will change if I can stay put a while. ♥
