Rag Wreath For The Porch

Well girls, there really *is* a science to wreath making; the size of your wreath and the fabrics you use make a big difference!

I'm calling this my Fiesta wreath! It's so different from the other wreaths that I've made that we're still getting used to each other. ☺ Notice that there is NO GREEN in this wreath! ☺ Oh, that chair is supposed to be *under* the wreath. I moved it for the hanging and forgot to move it back! Ha!I haven't done much with the porch this season because it's currently a game field on rainy days and NOT so rainy days! We play porch hockey, porch basketball and porch bowling out there. Micah has blockades everywhere to keep balls from rolling off the porch so it looks all junky. I'm hoping he'll tire of porch games once we're swimming again and then I can pretty things up!

Have a great day girl friends!

i like your fiesta wreath very much♥

and don't feel too badly about your porch... mine is in a terrible state as i haven;t done nearly anything to make it ready for the summer. (maybe you'll get yours all done, post pictures and shame me into fixing mine up;))

Good morning Faye and Diane! Glad you like the wreath. I have so much Green here that I really wanted to distract from that and I think the wreath is doing the trick! ♥

Hey Holly!
Thanks so much for visiting me on my porch, and for having that lemonade with me too! I could hardly wait for you to get the chance to see everything. It's great to catch up with you too! Oh, girl, that wreath is so pretty and colorful....it looks wonderful against that shade of green that's on your house! I love that color of green on your house.... and that chair and cushion is precious too. I love that style of chair...I always have. One day I'd love some like that in my dining room. Maybe one day I'll luck upon some at a yard sale....it would be great if I could find a farm house table to go with them too. Can you tell I'm dreaming again! LOL! If I ever do find a set...I am gonna buy them and strap them to the car if I've got to, to get them home! LOL!
It sounds like you and Michah have such a fun time on your porch. Sounds like alot of great family time!
I hope you have a great weekend! I'll catch up with you again soon!
Big Hug,

I really need to look into these wreaths, I have sooooo much fabric I'm sure I should do one. And I think I could actually make it myself!

Hi Holly,

Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog earlier. You are just so kind and I'm glad you enjoy your visits to my blog. I love to visit yours also as you have so many wonderful things to share and you always make me laugh.

The fiesta wreath looks cute. Would love to see a closer shot of it to see more of the detail.

Queenie, I love my porch chairs for their strutcture but they are NOT comfortable to sit in! I'm so impressed with *your* porch. We're having company Sunday so maybe I can get mine cleaned up! ♥

Lisa, do make a wreath! They are fun and easy. The "hardest" part is cutting/ripping all the strips. ♥

Noelle, I've seen chairs with flowers in the seat, too! Those are cute! ♥

Kim, I think I'm going to have to add more fabric to the wreath. I can't get it to look fluffy enough and the humidity makes the fabric go limp... I'll show a close up when I'm happy with it. ♥

I know this one is different than the ones you normally do but I really like this variation. The bright colors are so vibrant and full of energy. I love how it really stands out.

Thanks, Katie! I didn't think about the hunidity making it limp so I don't know if it's going to work! ♥

Hello Holly, I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I love your fabric wreath. I have wanted to make something like that! It looks nice on your porch. It looks like the color of gumballs in a gumball machine! I think they way you use your porch is fun! hugs, Ellen
