Garage Sale Finds

The weather was perfect for garage sailing on Saturday. We hardly had time to go but we did fit in 4 sales right here in town. We were happy that we all found something fun! Check out this little "head board" mirror. It was the priciest purchase of the day at $2.00. Isn't it cute? I want to paint it- someday. This must be strawberry season! Here's a cute strawberry napkin holder for 50 cents. It fits well on my cook stove shelf.

I used it for our guitar party on Sunday.

This was my favorite 25 cent find of the day- a small vintage bowl! The flowers in the middle are very faded. These little strawberry plates were just 25 cents for all 3!

I hope we can go next week too if the weather is nice again!
Thanks for looking at my treasures! My guys just don't "get it"!

Hi, Noelle! ♥ I'll paint the mirror either white or some shade of pastel- nursery colors. Ooops! I forgot to show a bunny I got too but y'all have probably had your fill of my bunnies! Ha!

Hi, Lisa! ♥ It just dawned on me this morning that those strawberry plates have green lattice on them- just like my porch. I knew there was something about them that I didn't quite like1 (I REALLY want to paint my lattice white!)

Great finds! I don't think guys will ever 'get' garage saling, but as long as they're sweet enough to take you, that's pretty nice. I hope you get to go Saturday, I love to see what you get. That mirror is very unusual and cute! Have a nice day! Twyla

Hi, Melinda! I won't get to go sailing too much longer because it will be too hot! ♥

Hi Holly! That mirror reminds me very much of a mirror that my grandfather made that I think my parents had, I'm not sure if they still have it since I haven't seen it for a long time. It had hooks for hanging necklaces etc too and a rose painted in one corner of the mirror. I think it was painted black or dark brown...would have been a lot prettier white.
I like anything with strawberries on it!
Have a great day!
Love Rika

What a lucky weekend for you Holly. I love all of your new treasures, especially that sweet little china bowl. The floral pattern and colors are so pretty. I really need to start going to more garage sales to see what kind of treasures I can find.

Hope you are having a great week so far. Take care and enjoy the rest of it.

Seriously, all the good stuff is NOT in Michigan! I love your strawberries and covet them so much!

Kim, I wouldn't go to the sales if Bobby didn't drive me1 I can't look for signs and parking places and drive at the same time! ♥

Katie, Aw, poor Michigan. The area I lived in has had a rough time of it! ♥

Melissa, Thanks for coming by! I thought the mirror was a real find! ♥
