Linen and petals

You girls know I love my pastels but sometimes I really like a burst of bright color, too! Here's a sweet vintage flower basket linen that sits under my wash bowl. The wash bowl is filled with left over rose petals from my Mother's Day roses from Bobby

and Irises from my garden.

I thought it looked cool.

I had a fun 3 day week end! Swimming in our pool, crafting, painting, movies, romancing, planting flowers and treasure hunting! Yippee! I feel refreshed!
Happy Tuesday!

oooh how sweet that scarf is! you know it looks to be about the same vintage as the embroidered apron i posted about a while back, don't you think? the style of the motif seems similar to me...

have a wonderful day, hon!☺

Well, that does sound like the perfect weekend! I can never stand to throw away rose petals and usually collect them in a bowl. Yours does look cool. Good luck with my give away! Have a great day! Twyla

Diane, I noticed the similarity in pattern, too. It's a pattern I love. Who can resist a basket of flowers!? ♥

Twyla, the petals get too dusty after awhile and I end up tossing them but I love them at first! ♥

Noelle, yeah, I thought it was weird that you were so shy in my dream! ☺ I even did one of those "Is she mad at me?" things that plauges most women!

Oh and what's a week end without any romancing? ~ wink ~

Running in through the door....I'm hereeeeee!! lol My goodness, I knew I hadn't been visiting much lately but didn't realize just how many of your posts I had missed. Shame on me! When the weather is nice out, I don't like to be stuck inside so the computer stays shut off...unfortunately my blogging suffers! lol Anyway, please know that I have read every post:-)

Just love the way you put the rose petals in that wash bowl and then a little vase of irises inside of it...you are so clever:-)

I just went to enter that giveaway you mentioned in your previous post...if I don't win it, then I hope you or Noelle do!! xoxo

Hi, PEA! ♥ Good to see you! I'm spending much more time outside too but I have so few 3D girls in my life that I gotta keep up with my blogettes! ☺

I like your wash bowl with the rose petals, the linen is beautiful... I like anything embroidered I'm working on some pillow cases but they arent vintage, the vintage embroidery is much more pretty than the "Stamped" they have now. Years ago my grandmother would make her own designs and they came out so beautiful....It sounds like you have a really nice weekend, I tried to have a lazy one...LOL! hugs, Jennifer

What a lovely vignette that is! I came over from Kim's blog Shabby, Pink and Pretty. It's nice to meet you!

Thanks, Lisa! ♥ Hope you're having a great *week*!

Jennifer, I used to embroider and want to again some day. I'll have to go see if you have any of your work posted at your blog! ♥

Katie, I'm pretty sure we've already met but we can always meet again! ☺ Cheers! ♥

Hi Holly! That's a pretty flower arrangement! We came home late last night from a 3-day-trip to a very nice zoo and a nice hotel- with a 1-year-old and a handicapped daughter it was *far* from refreshing but we tried to enjoy what we could and we mainly went for Melody's sake since she loves animals so much. They had a very good dolphine show there that we all enjoyed! Love, Rika

Noelle, um, gulp, um.... ☺

Hi, Rika! I've missed you!

With trips like the one you took, I keep telling myself, "This is for memories for the children- not me!"

I've only seen a dolphin show once-in Washington. ♥

I have kept the rose petals from every rose my husband has given me since we were married. They are all in a large basket we used at our wedding!

Jenny, my DIL dries her bouquets before the petals fall but I don't ever remember! ♥

Lori, my backa ctually complains after the first few swims but then again, my back alsways complains! ♥

Katie, I loved the combo of glass, water, light, and the colors- it just inspired me! ♥
