Favorites On Friday

Come on in, girls! It's been a while since I've posted one of my favorite things! This is a pretty card that hangs on my GREEN powder room wall. ☺ My pen friend Katie gave it to me long ago and I've used it as a decoration for years. I don't know if you can tell but the flowers and the scrolls are raised. So pretty!

I cleaned up a storm yesterday and then rewarded myself with some decorating! I re-did my Simply Shabby Chic book case that I got at the GW for $30.00. I hope to be back on Monday to show you some pics. It's hard to get good ones because the shelves are so deep that it causes lots of shadows.

Scrapbook Sunday

I'll be taking some time off from Scrapbook Sunday. It worked better when Bobby was working week ends. So when he's back on his other schedule, (end of Aug.) I'll be back to posting on the week ends. Hopefully I'll have some newly finished scrap book pages to show you by then!

Micah and I were supposed to have some friends over for a pool party today but it looks like we might be rained out! We sure have had a rainy Summer so far!

I hope you all have a terrific week end and I hope to see you again on Monday! ♥

Is that card by Carol Wilson or Lady Jayne? They make the most gorgeous stuff!! And that is gorgeous!

Good morning, M! You're the first visitor of the day! ♥

I have no idea who designed that card! I cut the back off of it long ag so I guess there's no way to know.

I have the front of a card that's very similar to that one that I got from the States, I think from my father-in-law's wife. I got a pack of several of them with envelopes too if I remember right. My card has a circle of pansies and a golden letter inside (maybe an F, I'm not sure!).
We have had rain the last couple of days too but it was needed. I think I wrote to you before that we had to find a new home by August 1st (my mind was foggy) but it's actually by Oct. 1st. So we have some time but it seems there's something wrong with each house we look at, the houses that don't sell fast usually have serious renovation needs. But we keep praying for the right home to open up.
Have a great weekend!
Love, Rika

Good Morning, Holly! I can always count on you to make me feel welcome when I come to visit. The card is beautiful and a sweet memory. We'll miss you on Scrapbook Sunday, but understand. Husbands can interfere with out schedules, can't they? Hope you have a wonderful day and you don't get rained out. It's just coming down here! Twyla

Hi, Rika! Too bad you have to move but at least you have more time than you thought you would! When we bought this place, it wasn't necessarily because we liked it but because the price was right. We wanted a 3 bd. house on land for under $100,000 and that's not always easy to find! We never bought a house so fast before!

I know the Lord has something for you and Brad. We can trust him! ♥

Thanks, Diane! Although I would rather my wall be a lighter color of anything, at least green is easy to get along with. ☺ ♥

Thanks, Twyla! We cancelled our party for today but it worked out well since Bobby ended up being home anyway! It was fun getting the house ready for my girlfriends even if they didn't get to come! ♥

I love those cards. I use to sell them when I owned my own store. Couldn't keep them in stock!

Hi, Deb! Ah-ha! So those cards are still around, eh? I think you're the first person who doesn't just remember them from the past! ♥

Thanks, Kathy! I just about have all my supplies organized and then I'll get started scrapping again! ♥
