Oz Gala

Good morning and welcome to the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz Gala hosted by Twyla and Lindsey of Two Crazy Crafters. I absolutely love Judy Garland as Dorothy! In honor of Dorothy's Blue gingham jumper....

I made a Dorothy wreath!

I wanted to embelish it with some sort of an Oz thingy but guess what? I didn't! Ha-ha!

In honor of the anniversary, we watched the Wizard Of Oz on our big screen yesterday.

Funniest scene:
*********
You all might think my sense of humour is warped but I laughed the hardest when the wicked witch mocked Dorothy and said, "Aunty Em, Aunty Em! Ha-ha-ha-ha-h" ☺ It must be from living around so many guys all my life! Do you have a favorite funny scene?
*************
Scariest scenes from my childhood:
*******
I was never afraid of the wicked witch but those flying monkeys and the soldiers!
~ Faint ~ What was your scariest part?
*****
Be sure to stop by Two Crazy Crafters to see who else is celebrating today!

I don't like the monkeys but the scariest part is the wicked witch getting up close to Dorothy with her threats...EEE! Stay back! lol Neat post! Visit me!

Isn't Wizard of Oz Gala gala-ing fun?! I'm so happy Twyla and Lindsey came up with the idea! (Thanks, you two!)

Your "Dot" gingham wreath is simply charming! We're (my daughter Puppet and I) going to watch Oz a smitch later on in the day. My favourite funny part is when Dorothy asks the Winkie if she can have the broomstick and he replies, "Yes, and take it with you." Even as a child, I half-expected Dorothy to turn to her three cohorts and shrug, saying, "Well, duh. What else would I do with it???" LOL!

My scariest part (besides those dang monkeys) would be the Wicked Witch hurling the fireball: YIKES!

You are cordially invited to come visit my Gala participation HERE. Thanks!

Oh, yes, those monkeys on the roof. That was the scary part for me as well. Ran out of the theater and peeked back around the corner to see if it was ok to come back in. This was back in the early 50's, and none of us had ever seen Oz before then.

Holly, your wreath is so cute! I have had a love for blue gingham all my life. I can't think of a funny moment, but unlike everyone else, the monkeys didn't scare me near as much as the witch's soldiers! Thank you for participating in our celebration today! Twyla

Your OZ wreath turned out great, Holly... It's so sweet!
I was always a bit scared when Dorothy and her "gang" were walking down the long, dark hallway to see the Wizard... Such an awesome movie!
Enjoy your walk down the Yellow Brick Road...

Kelly, This wreath is too cute for words! I just love it and want to make one for myself. I want to tell you that I have received your beautiful block. I still can't get over the little picket fence - what creativity. I just adore it and have hung it on my wall. Could you tell me please (I have trouble with short term memory) Did I already send your block? I have an envelope with only Kelly on the front, but I have written Undeniably Domestic on the back - I'm clueless and embarassed! Thank you again so much for celebrating my Block Party. It has been the most fun, and my blocks are all so beautiful! Elizabeth

I never liked it when the Wicked Witch turned over the hour glass. I would get so scared that they wouldn't save Dorothy in time! I remember thinking that the first few times I watched the movie!

We sure had fun!
