The First Gift Of The Season!

Happy Monday, girls! Come on in and see the first gift of the season! I gave this little gift bag to my friend Amy when we went to see New Moon last week! (Go team Jacob!)
I had fun fixing up the bag which just contained a simple Walmart ornament but I think packaging can be a gift in itself- yes? I bought myself an ornament just like it to remember Amy by and I'll hopefully be showing it to you on another day.

Recognize my kitty on the teeny tiny tag I made? I'll be sharing this kitty image along with my other vintage card images in the days to come!

A special thank you to sweet Sherry from Country Wings In Phoenix for sizing up my header for me! Re- sizing images is tricky for me. I think it's because it involves numbers and my brain doesn't process or remember numbers very well!

I'm so thankful for all my blogging friends! You make my life a richer place and you make the holidays a whole lot of fun!
~
In the meadow -we can build a snowman
And pretend- that he is parson Brown
He'll say -are you married?
We'll say -no man
But you can do the job while you're in town!

Mindless Crafting

Good day, good friends and new friends and friends in the making friends!

During one of my recent computer exiles, I wanted to play with paper! I didn't have the energy of mind to really create too much, so I decided to cover some trim holders. Flat trim cards

and round trim spools.

Mindless crafting... It was a fun and easy paper/ color fix!
Here's to hoping you can do something fun and easy today, too!
Happy Holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving and Presents From Molly

Happy holidays, girls!
Looky here- I received another love gift during my recent computer exile! My blogging girls sure are special! This time my surprise was from my fairy tale friend, Jackie (aka Molly) from Once Upon a Fairyland. Stopping by Jackie's is lots of fun so pay her a visit if you get the chance! Jackie sent me all sorts of miniature cutie pie treats! Look at these sweet lace doll clothes! They are about Barbie ? size. You probably won't get this pic unless you're from the Seattle area. This clown is not just any ole clown. He's JP Patches! I saw him on Jackie's blog and got tears in my eyes! He introduced the cartoons every morning when Jackie and I were just liddle kiddles growing up!
Oh and speaking of kiddles... ☺ she reminds me of my grandgirl, Elizabeth.

Molly sent so many sweet little things but I couldn't get good pics of them all! I made the mistake of trying to customize my camera and now I can hardly get a good pic! Ha-ha! Oops! These vintage perfume labels are super cool!

More little treats... The little box is a tiny match box. So cute!

Thanks again my Molly home girl! You're so special!
Hope all you American girls have a super duper Thanksgiving! I know we will!
(Pass the PIE PLEASE!)

Cute Christmas Ideas

Happy Holiday week, girls! As you can see, my Christmas (blog) decorations are already up!
Here's some cute ornament ideas from Goodhouskeeping magazine! The fabric ball up above is my favorite! My head is swimming with ideas for this one. I've already started making a tiny one and it isn't as easy as it looks! But maybe that's because I'm not following the directions? ☺
Simple pine cones. I have lots of pine cones. How bout White and glittery with a pink organdy loop? (I'm thinking up ideas for my White tree!)

I have some little girl pastel mittens that I bought at the GW and they'll be cute stuffed with something fun...
I've already started on my Thanksgiving meal. I like to do a little bit each day so I have more time to play once the big day arrives!
I won't be posting tomorrow because I'll be off to the movies with my friend Amy to see New Moon! Believe it or not, this will be my first time to go to a movie theater in probably 15 years! ~ GASP ~ I know! I *was* supposed to go see New Moon with my boy Caleb. He was going to fly out and spend the holidays with us but since I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM, I guess he isn't coming! BOYS!
Have a super duper day, girls!

A Sugar Kissed Christmas!

Head on over to Twyla and Lindsey's at Two Crazy Crafters! These special girls have started decorating for Christmas already and it's a scrumptious feast for the eyes! They have designed and crafted several decorations that they want to share with us over the next few weeks until Christmas. They'll also be sharing vintage images, tutorials, and I think I heard something about a give away, too! Woo- hoo! Thanks girls! I'm so ready for the Christmas fun to begin!
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!

I'm Back With A Bunny

Hello my sweet bloggy girls! I'm back with my own computer again but I can't help but hold my breath! Even the computer repairman seemed a bit baffled which doesn't seem like a good sign, eh? ☺

Well, here's another one of my exile craft projects- a decoupaged bunny!
Some of my long time readers might recognize this wooden bunny. I have one that was attached to my fence post when we moved to this place and then I found a few others lying around the property and wanting repair. I've always wanted to do something with them but they are quite banged up. With the paper on them, you can't really tell.

I covered the other side of the bunny too so one side is pretty and the other side is polka dot cute! This seems to be my emerging artistic style. I tried adding eyes but I couldn't get it to look right so I left it eyeless! Poor bunny!

I'm just so happy to be back in blog land that I would like this bunny to hop on over to the first bunny loving blogger who wants her. Just leave a comment to let me know and she's yours!

Thanks for all the loving wishes while I was away! I needed them!

Red Pumpkin Exile

I'm still in my 3rd computer exile, girls! Still no word as we wait for a call from our beloved computer man! The weather has been lovely while we wait, though! It's making up for our RAINY Summer and early Fall.

I made 2 red rick rack pumpkins like this during my first computer exile and I sent them off to my 2 remaining pay it forward participants. Click to enlarge to see possible coffee grounds. Hee-hee! Don't forget about me- okay? I miiiissss you!

Going Crazy and Sweet Surprises and Supplieses From Lindsey

Guess what, peeps!!?? When I woke up this morning my computer wouldn't boot up! So, my computer is now down for the third time! Ha-ha-ha-ha! (Please insert mad scientist/Daffy Duck going insane laugh here!!!) This is really getting old but not surprising! You might can surprise me twice but not three times! Ha-ha! So, here I am down at my beloved library again. Bobby was still sleeping when I left so he hasn't talked to Dell yet to find out what's wrong.

I was going to try to get some pics on this morning of my new craft projects from one of those exile thingies but let's just never mind about that-shall we?! Ha-ha-ha-ha! (Please insert a vision of Holly repeatedly bumping into the wall like a robot here!) Who knows, maybe we'll get the computer fixed today?! Ha-ha-ha-ha!

But anyway, I did have this one and only post in draft. It's a post about another love gift I received and let me tell you, it's little gifts like this that make the world a much sweeter place!
♥♥ ♥♥ ♥

Lindsey from Two Crazy Crafters is my super duper talented paper crafter girl! She makes cards, tags, scrapbook layouts, works at a scrapbook store, has a new paper crafting blog called Lindsey's Paper Scraps (click here) and is even on a scrapbook design team now! Lindsey is the one who originally gave me the rose paper that inspired my rose covered picket fences! See the paper bellow?I asked if Lindsey knew where I could get any more of that paper so I could make more fences and she found a few more sheets for me! She sent along more yummy papers and supplies, too! Here's a close up of the cute strawberry card she sent along as well.
Cute cupcake tags that she made, too! Gotta love cuppies!

I'm lovin' these trims and I'm having so much fun using them! The Pink is a velvet and the Blue is? Fun!
It means so much to me to have supplies like these to work with! Thanks again, Lindsey!
And thanks to all my bloggy peeps who keep hanging in there with me while I work through all this computer mess! ♥

I'm Back/Bloggy Love

Hi, girls! I'm back from my second computer exile! Hopefully I'll be good to go for a long, long, time! I miiiiiiiised you all!

During my first exile, I received two bloggy love gifts! They sure cheered me up!
This first one was from Amy at Bunny Rose Cottage. Amy has been crafting up a storm lately and she shared some of that storm with me! See the pretty altered "girls at Heart" box? That's now my tag supply box. I'm the big girl in the middle and Amy is the little girl leaning on me. The other little girl is a friend Amy brought along and if you want to, you can pretend that's you! ☺ Amy made this sweet heart for my Sweet Retreat! It looks perfectly in place on the wall in there. I love all the little "treats" on it!
Here's a close up of my favorite flower on the box. Thanks again Amy for making my time away from all you girls more bearable!
And then my new friend Dolly at From My Cherry Heart sent me this cutie pie BOO banner! A Pink Boo with polka dot ribbon!! Perfect! ☺
The little card is so cute that I think I'll frame it! Thanks again, Dolly!
I look forward to catching up with all of you!

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas

A Pink Christmas that is! During my exile, I've been working on a Pink ribbon chain for my first ever "girly" Christmas tree that I plan to have this year. I'll still have my traditional Red and Green tree in the living room but it will be fun having a white and pastel tree, too!

Thanks for all the hugs and pity concerning my lack of computer situation! I'll be back here at the library again tomorrow morning but my library is closed on Sundays.

GROAN and Yummy Tags Exile Activities Part 2

Groan! Groan! Groan!! My computer is down again, girls! Can you believe it? This time it's the motherboard that Dell is replacing free of cost. I don't know how long we'll have to wait this time. Hopefully not as long! My computer is only 2 years old so I don't know why we're having so many troubles. Maybe we wore the thing out already??? Okay, anyway, here I am at the library again and I'll show you what else I made during my FIRST exile!

Remember these cutie pie papers that I got for my Birthday?

Well, I made some cutie pie tags with them!

Yummy stuff, huh?
One thing I have learned about me and tags: Sometimes I can make them and other times I can't. If the creative juices aren't there- forget it! I tried making more of these and- NOPE! Maybe another day, eh?
Oh my! I really need to get some hugs and be felt sorry for concerning my computer, girls!!

I'm Back! and Forget-Me-Not Love

Our computer has been repaired! Hurray! We are all taking turns on here "catching up" but my main time won't be until tomorrow morning when it's quiet! I sure did miss all my blogging sisters!

Look! I am so totally in love with these types of vintage Forget Me Nots! Rebecca from Belle Masion is obviously a romantic because she sent me these! I immediately popped them in my latest Picket Fence/Nursery Friends pic!

Aren't they just so sweet, sweet? There's just something about them!

Rebecca has a shop (click here) and I purchased this yummy velvet rick rack from her, too! I can't wait to use it!

I so look forward to catching up with everyone and showing you what all I worked on while I was in exile! Ha-ha!
