Birthday Shelf After and Before

Come on in, girls! Here is the first of many before and afters I've been working on during my Spring break but I thought I would have the "after" pic show up first! This cute little nick knack shelf was a birthday gift from my local friend, Amy. (Hi, Amy!) I decorated it really quick for this pic so it wouldn't appear lonely or empty. ☺ Here's the shelf before I really liked it White but since my walls are white, I decided to paint it Aqua. I always have such a hard time deciding what color to paint something because I love all colors! Now I'm wishing it was still white. Ha-ha! Oh well!

Thoughts on crafting:
Ya know, I had so much fun making my Valentine cards from vintage images... I couldn't wait to get started on some Easter ones too... but instead, I'm in a "before and after" mode. Whatever! Gotta go with the flow!
My house goes up for sale in just a couple of more weeks so I've been painting, scrubbing and de- junking some more! I've even done a bit of packing. How's that for thinking positive toward a sale!? I've been working real hard but playing real hard, too!
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Never forget how unique and special you are in this world!

Holly thank you for stoppin' in and commenting on my painted roses. My name is Sheila not Sandi.. lol.. I know how it is to have so many blogger friends..I think you have made a great decision on the shelf.. Against a white wall it really stands out. Unless of course you did not want it to stand out. But it is pretty either way. I am glad you stopped by and commented , buecause some time ago i lost my blogger list and had to start over, I have been trying every day to figure out who i have not added back.. Well guess what You are one of those.. So i am high tellin' it over to my blog list and get you back in the lime light again.. Have a great day.. Oh and good luck on selling your house. Sheila

Hi Holly, the shelf looks great aqua, but it also looks great white. Maybe after you sell your house and move you could do another colour for your new house.

Love the shelf painted aqua! But that's the good thing about paint. You can paint it white again if you want!
I hope your house sells right away, once it's for sale. I remember when we moved, we threw out so much stuff. That was 16 years ago, and within the last couple of years I finally unpacked the last few boxes!
