It's A Miracle!

Well, not exactly but...for the first time since the grandchildren went home, my dresser top is cleared off of junk! I don't know why but my poor dresser top gets used as a dumping off spot. Do you have a spot like that? Mine drives me crazy. Well, no more! No folded laundry, craft supplies, safety pins or excuses. It stays pretty from now on!

Well, lets see what I have here... I spy pillows from Sandi, a star fish from M, vintage linen from Juli, a pretty box from my Sara, tulle from Walmart ☺ and a 25 cent vintage garage sale bowl that holds some of my jewelery. Lots of lovely things that remind me of my lovely friends every day!

I like my dresser top this way much better! The only thing that would make it better is if it was White!

Happy Monday, girls! Seize the day! ♥

Hi Holly, doesn't everyone have a dumping spot? I know i do, our kitchen bench, near the phone. Everyone walks in, drops their keys, newspapers etc. etc. Doesn't it makae you feel good when it's all cleaaned off and you can actually see the surface. Have a great week.

Oh my- you should see our kitchen table... We never eat there- I think we've only eaten at in once! Everything goes on there- I had to dig it out the other weekend when we actually had company over! Your dresser top looks lovely! I love how you draped tulle over the one part! Those pillows are so darling, too! :)

The tulle got my heart pumping right off, sweetpea. I have it all over this house. It just makes a room as far as I'm concerned.

I have a dumping spot too Holly. It's usually the small desk in my spare bedroom. Everything gets dumped there and then maybe about once every three month's I'll go through the pile to organize everything, file things away and so on. Your dresser looks charming displaying all of your pretty things. And I'm like you in another way as well. I would LOVE to have my dresser and nightstand painted a creamy white someday. The dark wood of them just doesn't fit into my style of decorating and I've wanted to change the look of them forever. Maybe someday though.

Oh yes, we all have a dumping spot. I have a spare bedroom that has become my dumping spot and I will need to clean it before Tammy comes or she won't have a bed to sleep on.

Long ago I decided to love my dumping spots...I find especially in a paper dumping spot, if you ignore it for awhile, most the problems in it solve themselves!
I'm on the same wave length as you...yesterday I took 6 bags to the thrift store...gave clothes, shoes, jewlery and belts and did my whole bedroom over...went from log cabin...to a peaceful resting spot where the farm girl in me can rest and read. A couple of straw hats, a new lamp and I moved a book case...more coming today...I'm on a roll.

Such a lovely dresser Holly! I have two dumping spots. One on the attic steps, for stuff waiting to go in the attic, and another by the back door for stuff waiting to go down in the basement. Also the kitchen counter where my husband dumps the mail every day. My house is one big dump!

I think we ALL having at least one dumping spot, Holly! I've been working hard this past week getting mine de-cluttered--but they're not as pretty as yours!

Thanks for the visit--hope you're having a great evening!

I have those areas too! I have more than one...my dresser and the coffee table get kind of cluttered but my worst place is the dining room table. We don't eat in there everyday and it is right in the path of the front door and the rest of the house, perfect place for everyone to dump whatever is in their hands. Oh well i try.

Holly i have a spot in my kitchen. There is a built in buffett and it use to catch all the stuff. Tools, newspapers, purse, gloves, loose nuts and bolts.. you name it, it got put there. But when i cleaned it off the last time and made it pretty, it has stayed clear of any clutter.. It makes me smile daily .. Your dresser looks amazing.. It is very soft and pretty. I have a few pieces that i would like to paint white too. But won't.. Have a great day Holly..
