A Collection Grows!

Can you believe this teddy bear/cowboy planter? ADORABLE! I won it via a "Let Me Thrift For You Giveaway" hosted by Sonya of Dime Store Thrift. Thanks again, Sonya!!! Go visit Sonya HERE.

Sonya said that she would go thrifting for whatever the winner likes to collect. Since I'm wanting to start my baby planter collection back up- I said vintage BABY PLANTERS! Look how intricate this "crocheted" bootie planter is!

Sonya sent along this little guy, too. He looks QUITE VINTAGE don'tcha think? Maybe from the 50s or 60s?

These cuties are already packed up now and will greet me in my new home in Idaho!
Have any of you started up a new collection?

Those are wonderful pieces. I love the baby bootie. Just the other day I posted on my blog about the start of a new collection. You can check it out here. http://lindaruthiesblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-love-vintage-and-i-live-just-few.html
Now if I only knew how to make that a clickable link. Oh, well, there's always copy and paste.

Holly, I had no idea you were lacking in the baby planter department! I am glad you are now off to a great start, those are adorable! As you know, Lindsey and I collect them too. They are very addictive. Since you ask, I Have started a new collection. One day I was struck (well, not literally) by a beautiful little bowl. After some research I discovered it was made by Hull and the pattern is called Sunglow. I have 5 pieces now! I just Love collecting! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Twyla

Happy May Day Holly Sweetie...
I have been gone for the week and find that you are moving on the 14th of May. Things sure do move fast. I am so thrilled for you, and you know I told you that your cottage was so cute someone would snatch it right up. Do you already have a place picked out to move to? I bet you are so excited and I can't even imagine what the kids are thinking. I know they will be happy for you to get moved there. You will be with the grandbabies all the time. I am so happy for you sweetie.

Well keep me posted please. I love your baby planter treasures and that little boy is just precious. Wonderful jewels for the new home. Can't wait to see.

Happy May Day sweetie. May your day be filled with happiness and sunshine. Country hugs, Sherry

Oh Holly, I wish I had known you collected planters when last summer's meltdown occurred. I donated 23 planters to Goodwill. EAK! I know! I have a start up collection again. You have some wonderful ones in yours! Love the cowboy! Have a great week ahead! E

Those planters are darling! I know you'll find the perfect spot for them in your new home! Maybe you'll find a home with lots of built in shelves! That would be my kinda dream home :)
