All Aboard For Cuteness!

All this cuteness was a house warming present from my sweet friend Twyla of Two Crazy Crafters! Doesn't she spoil me?! She crocheted the afghan herself but she let me choose the colors and the pattern. We're calling it Neapolitan. ☺ Thanks again, dear Twyla! You've made my world a sweeter and cuter place!

A New Home For Happy

I made a cozy kitchen corner for Happy yesterday. It made *me* feel happy!
I wasn't sure if my red kitchen pieces would work in my Peach and Green kitchen but I think they will! See my vintage counter top? ☺ Green marble with metallic flecks! Even chrome trim! Okay- so I don't like the chrome but I *do* like how deep my counter tops are and I like the White in them.
It felt so good to do something "normal" and fun yesterday. Hope your day has something fun in it too!

Town Blessings

One of the blessings of living in town is having my sweet DIL Sara drop by with pressies! She picked up this little box while she was out garage sailing and she said she thought it looked like me. ☺ I was so happy, I clapped my hands! She also gave me this big, brand new scrap book that was only $2.00! Fun, fun, fun! Maybe by this week end, I'll feel up to going garage sailing with her!
A very *unexpected* blessing- I found a field with a hill and a small creek nearby for Micah and Lexi and I to play on and these wild roses are growing on it! Isn't it sweet?
I also had the whole family over for dinner for the first time last night! It was so fun! My boys were so excited to eat a "mom" meal!
No pics of the inside of the house yet but at least the family *can* walk through it now!
Enjoy the blessings of *your* day, sweet girls!

Another Good Reason...

to move across the country! Muffins delivered to me from my adorable DIL Sara! She said she thought these looked like me. I'm so blessed to have such a sweet DIL.

We signed the month to month lease on a nice duplex last night! My landlady is awesome! She really hit it off with my oldest son, Adrian because they are both language lovers. Oh yeah, Lexi, passed the test, too!

Phylis gave me the keys last night and we can start moving in today if we want to but she and her husband are not done cleaning and doing the maintenance so they would still be there a lot. Phylis said she'll PAY me to finish the cleaning if I would like. Yes- I like!

One of the greatest things about this duplex is that it's just a few blocks from the family. I'll be able to walk over there easily which is a good thing since my poor little van was sold in VA! We're also just a few blocks from my friend Becca who moved away from VA last Fall! God is good.

NOW- if I can just start sleeping and crafting again, all will be right! Have a great day girlfriends! I know I will!

First Idaho Treasures!

The cute strawberry plate was a dollar at Michael's and grangirl Elizabeth wants a snack on it when she comes to my house. It was fun to have her and her mom Sara along and to hear Elizabeth say, "Gramma, isn't that just soooo,so cute!" ☺

This vintage bowl was from the GW and I'm almost positive it's the same pattern that my mom had for a while. Once my photo albums are unpacked, I will look at a Christmas photo from 1972 to make sure. I think my mom must have really liked Blue and Green! Come to think of it, her Christmas lights on the outside of the house were Blue and Green, too!
Well, I'm still living half here at the motel and half at my boys apartments. (and I'm quite weary of it, thank you!) I long for some alone time and a bedroom door to shut!
Bobby, Micah and I went to be interviewed by a small local horse/cattle ranch about a large rental apartment there. Half of the rent would be in chores. The view from up there is absolutely amazing and there is a Palomino horse there that I've already fallen in love with (silly me!) Several other people are interviewing for this place too and we won't know if we can get it until the week end. We're also still waiting to hear back from the U of I about a job for Bobby there. Waiting, waiting, waiting! That's my middle name these days! One Day At A Time Sweet Jesus!
It feels so good to do something "normal' like take pics for my blog. My quiet/alone time is so limited and I can't blog with noise in the back ground so I blog when I can. I love all you girls and miss you so much!
