Di-Di-Delish!

Look at me- posting on a Saturday! My baby took me out on a date the other day to MacDonalds and Sally Annes! (The Salvation Army) My SA has sooo many dishes and many of them vintage. I love to go hunt for them there. Here is what I brought home. This lovely Eggshell Nautilus plate. I had fun looking it up on the net and haven't found another one like it!
An unmarked blue bowl... I wonder how many Thanksgiving dinners this bowl has seen?
I'll admit that I've thought about being jealous of the "new dishes from Cath girls" and even the "new dishes (that look like Cath's) from TJ Max girls" but I decided I will be content with my delish dishes from the thrift store and be THAT kind of girl! Besides, I think they need me. ☺ Ya think?

Have a great week end, girls!

Oooh, I am sooo all over your HLC! Your Bowl is delish too, looks like Syracuse.

Yay to you for being a "Thrift Gal". It is so much better on so many levels, and besides, that's where Cath gets her inspiration.

Perfect Post for a Saturday!

I have no doubt that those dishes were just hanging out at Sally Ann's waiting for you. Love the bowl with the blue doo-dad thingies on it. Good deals!

Oh Holly, I love you. You are a breath of fresh air. I wish we lived closer, I need someone like you around me :) And I think vintage is much better than new!!! I love the look of different beautiful vintage pieces served together. It is like people, no one is the same!!
Love and hugs,
Amy

Holly~ I am visiting via Sandy's blog...you left a comment there...and I thought it was great! About making something till it was too cute to send! Love it!
I see we share a passion (although my cupboards and basement are full) for Sally's (I will have to borrow that name...for haven't heard that one). My whole house is decorated around items from Sally's or someone's garage sale...and some other not so fancy places...LOL. Enjoy your dishes...they are WAY better than new...for they tell a great Adventure! Hugs!

Love the thought that what we find at our favorite haunts, needs us! Believe me! I am remembering that line....hubby is going to be hearing that a lot! Thank You!

I adore different and mismatched dishes...they add character and personality to the table!

Have a wonderful weekend and week!

All pretty dishes need good homes Holly! You are great to take these in and find out their history!! We should not jealous of other's dishes just happy for them that they are happy and that all the sweet dishes have good homes ;) I have old new and in between (remember the strawberry ones from the $1 section at Micheal's last year ;) They are all great and we love them all!! Enjoy yours sweetie! You can eat off your favorite new ones and let the boys use others ;) I love a table of the flower rimmed dishes all mixed together!! Even saw a wedding done that way!! Dishes, for what ever reason, makes us girls happy and that is all that matters!
(I feel a bit bad as I have found more dishes to go with mine on sale at TJ Maxx!! I am very excited hehehe)
Hugs Lisa

Those dishes couldn't have gone to a better home! I would love me some Cath dishes too, but I have too many other sets that I love, and there's just no more room in the cupboards!
