Vintage Train Case

Happy Monday girls! Ruby Jean has started up a linky party for Blue lovers! What's that? You thought I was a Pink lover? Well I am! But I love Blue and Red, too! Oh and Yellow and Lavender and... Got it? You can sign up to post your favortie blues, too! Go check it out! This is a sweet little vintage train case that I picked up at my local thrift store! I can't remember how much it was but I know it was cheap because EVERYTHING there is cheap!! Now I must admit that this is not my favorite shade of Blue but years ago it was so maybe I will like it once again and then I won't have to paint it! Ha-ha!

This our my weekend so we're going out to eat today and then I'm going to Macy's to use my gift card from my son and my daughter in law! I hope to find a really cute top! I'm only 2 pounds away from my 20 pound goal so I feel I deserve a new top- don't you? But guess what? I'm going to keep losing until my 50 birthday which is October 3rd! I don't actually care how much I weigh, I just want to fit back in to a certain size jean. :)

Have a great day everyone!

DO NOT get me started on another color party! That train case is super cute, but if you're not crazy about the color, maybe you can dress it up with a sweet little decal.
Congrats on your weight loss Holly! Yes, get that new blouse. You totally deserve it!

Oh, I love your little train case! I just picked up another one myself a couple of weeks ago; don't like the color either! Have you actually painted one? Do tell! What kind of paint did you use? I decoupaged one once ~ blogged about it too (http://retrorevivalbiz.blogspot.com/2010/08/new-life-for-vintage-luggage.html)

What a great train case you found Holly. Lucky score for you. I can already picture it being altered with some shabby colored paint and decals, stensils or painted flowers. It would make for a perfect little traveling craft case. Wish I had one of those as I am going out of town for a few days this upcoming weekend and I plan on taking some of my crafty stuff with me, but I'm stuck using just a boring old plastic rubbermaid storage tote to pack my supplies in.

Can't wait to see what how you end up transforming it.

Oh I love the train case. The shade of blue is favorite of mine with my blue willow dishes.
I have dozens ready to be painted and embellished.
Congrats on your weight loss. I bet you feel wonderful too. Have fun shopping for your new top. About to turn 50? you only look about half that my friend.

Okay, I think if you travel over to Spokane you can hop on Amtrak and you'll end up about 5 miles from my home. Pack up that little train case and I'll see you soon! Wishful thinking, but "someday dreams" often come true!
Proud of you for loosing...that is awesome. I have lost 12 lbs in 6 months just but eating healthy and cutting portions. I still have my goodies though!

LOVE THE TRAIN CASE!!!! My mom had an old Samsonite train case - it was green. As a matter of fact, I think it's still in her closet and I'm going to need to go get it ~ there's bound to be something cute we can do with it - I can see it open with cute girly girl stuff spilling out. Does yours have the make up tray in it still??

Congratulations on your weight loss. I'm about to give up on mine - I've lost 9 and have about 30 to go *sigh*
