My Red Mini Barn

WELCOME! I love this little red mini barn almost as much as my big 1904 one. This mini barn even has its own hitching post! Do you see who is hitched there? Isabella the bunny! What can I say? I don't have a horse! The barn has 3 little rooms and so far, only one of them is occupied by Isabella. (Pssst, I wish I could take the whole barn over and make it all mine!)

Giddy up cowbunny! We only left Isabella hitched up long enough to take these pics and then we let her run off and hide!

These pics were taken in early spring. the grass surrounding the barn is so green and waist high now!

Thanks for coming by to visit! I loooove your comments! I'm linking up to Rednesday hosted by Sue of It's A Very Cherry World!

Yellow Roses On The Farm!

Yesterday, my boy took me back through the tall grass to the OLD farm site to see these yellow roses! Quite grand- don'tcha think!? Can you believe that I live here? It's like a fairy tale! As you can imagine, these were even brighter in person- almost too bright to look at! I took sooooo many pics but these were my 3 fab favs!

Hope you all have a great week end!

Glimpses Of The Craft Room and Some Girl Talk

Hello, girls! I'm always looking for creative ways to display some of my vintage cards and this little nick knack shelf does just the trick! I don't show many pics from my craft room because I don't have much sun in here and THAT makes for some dull shots! My craft room is actually just one side and one other corner of my bedroom. I don't share a room with hubby so it's all mine.

* Yes this is kind of personal but it might help someone!

Separate sleeping areas for us as a couple came about after my hubby's shoulder surgery and it worked so well for us both that we've kept it up. I realize now that most of the mood swings I experienced for all my married years were caused by lack of sleep. I'm a new woman now! My husband snores loudly, has sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and is a shift worker. All these things combined were totally ruining my sleep and health! Yes, at times I miss the closeness and we have to be creative to recapture that but we're happy and it's been one of the best decisions we've ever made!

Okay- true confession time is over! lol! Enjoy your life!

Rescue Bunny

LOOK what I bought at our city wide garage sales! Do you think I'm crazy for rescuing this toy box/chest? I've already started removing the stickers and pen marks and I can hardly wait for its transformation! My new kitty, baby crackers is excited about it, too! I'd like to paint the whole thing. Do you think I can try painting around the decal?

Vintage Brooch For Rednesday

This vintage Sarah Coventry brooch is on my wish list! My mom had one just like it and I loved playing with it when I was a little girl. It finally dawned on me to look for it on the web and I was thrilled when I found it right away! Google is so cool!

Just Enjoying The View

I'm trying to learn how to photograph sunsets. I wish I could get the Pink to show up. This was the other evening and is the view out my back door. I love living here on the edge of the Palouse!

Hope you all have a great week and that you can enjoy the world you find your self in!!

Trim Time!

A couple of weeks ago, my treasure hunting took on a trim theme. I found this Cigar box full of vintage seam binding at my Local antique store. I thought I would alter the box some day but my husband liked it so I gave it to him. I popped all the trim in my tin foil dispenser thingy instead. Cute, huh? It all fits perfectly.

I also went to my local thrift store on the same day and found a bag full of assorted trims but these giant Yellow pom poms were the winners. I wonder how long they will sit around before I do something with them. ☺

I'm still waiting on the day that vintage Christmas ornaments will be the theme! It's worth the wait AND the hunt!

Do your hunts ever take on a theme?

If you feel down in the dumps today, I encourage you to go hunting for the GOOD and FREE things in your life! They are the best bargains!

Flower Power!

Each one of these lovely bouquets were picked by my wonderful boy, right here on the farm!

I hope you're all enjoying your Spring. Although ours has been wet and cold for the most part, it hasn't stopped the flowers from blooming!

Have a wonderful day!
