Pyrex For Rednesday!

Ooo-wee! Lookie here, girls!! I found a sweet deal on the Pyrex primary set!I'm so tickled with them! Won't these look sweet on my new/old hutch? They are perfectly worn and loved and they remind me of mom! I'll take more pics of them on my hutch when I can get the settings on my camera right!

See yesterday's Dotty Day post for info on an upcoming dotty swap!

I'm linking up with REDNESDAY! Today! Go see all the great reds!

I have exciting news! I'm thinking about opening a booth at my antique mall! I had thought this might be a far away/ some day kind of thing but now I'm thinking it might be sooner than later. I'll keep you posted!

Lots of love to all my bloggy friends!

What a great find Holly! I have that big yellow one, passed down from my MIL, but how wonderful to have that whole set...I'm always on the look out for more so that I can complete my collection...they are hard to come by. Once I saw the whole set at the flea market though but they wanted like $75.00 for it. Have fun using and displaying your set :)
Have a great week!
Big hugs,
Queenie
P.S. How exciting that you are looking at having your own booth...I think you should!

I LOVE those bowls! My mom had a set and they were the main bowls that were used. One day she gave them to my sister. Since I have set out to put sets togther for my children and maybe my other sisters. Would you believe that I have 7 sets now? (I am a pyrex bowl hoarded! hehe) I have bought myself two sets at auctions. One set was the first item sold. I paid a whole 11 dollars for it! The second set that I bought for myself, I paid 30.00 for. They are in mint condition. They look like someone never used them.
Yours will look wonderful in that cabinet! Your red bowl looks like it is in really good condition. The red bowls are the ones that are usually very worn. (remember NOT to put those in the dishwasher)
That is great about the antique mall. I wish I could come and buy from you!

Holly,
You hit the jackpot! I adore my Pyrex bowls, I actually have two sets I have gotten thru the years. I for display and one I use all of the time! Just don't put them in the dishwasher, they get dull.....The yellow one is my favorite for making cakes and such, the green and red are perfect for side dishes at dinner....I love your set because it shows a little ware, don't you wish you knew where they came from???? Sandy

Grand news on the booth. They are fun!

Love the bowls too. As Mary Engelbreit says, Life is just a chair of bowlies!

I have totally enjoyed collecting my Pyrex refridgerator dishes over the years in the pink pattern. Gave up Clingwrap and plastic years ago for Pyrex and also gave up metal for stoneware. I love it.

Congrats on that Pyrex set, Holly! I started collecting, one bowl at a time, but still haven't finished the set. And YIPPEE on possibly having a booth!! You'll have to share all of the details, because I would love to do this too!
Happy REDnesday,
Carol
