My Cup Runneth Over- Sort Of!

This is my 29 year old son in his back yard here in Idaho. Tonight, I'm going to his going away party. He's been offered a job which requires schooling on the west coast of Washington. He'll be living there during the week and then coming home to his wife and children on the weekends. When he's done with schooling- possibly 9 months- his whole family will relocate somewhere in Washington and my grands will be gone. Sniff- sniff! This is all rather sudden and we got this news the same week we were told we would have to leave the farm BUT we now know (as of yesterday) that *WE HAVE ANOTHER YEAR HERE* YAY! One year to look, pack and plan- instead of months. One more year to enjoy the farm. We are so relieved and I'm able to deal with my son's departure and my DIL and grands eventual departure much better now.

My 14 year old seemed a bit disappointed over our staying another year. I asked him why and he said he had hoped we would end up moving to another state where the fishing and hunting are a bit better! Silly boys! I think all they care about are their adventures!

So, yesterday I worked in the garden. Now we can put up the pool and I can plant flowers and we can go ahead and get those chickens we've been wanting. Thank you, Lord.

Thank you all for your love and prayers!

Good News about your extra year at the farm! Who knows, maybe they'll extend the time? I know you'll be sad when your son & his family move, but think how much fun it'll be to visit them in Washington!
Can't wait to see your chicken photos!

6 of my grands live in Idaho and they would all tell you that it is "the" place for hunting and fishing. The older girls have been flyfishing on the Snake River since almost before they could walk. I never knew much about Idaho until Missy married Matt. It's a great State! =D

Glad to hear that you get to stay on the farm a little longer! Sorry to hear that your son and his family will be moving away from you soon. Just enjoy the time you have with them and don't let the sadnees rob you of the time you have with them before they move away!

Hi Holly,

I'm so happy to hear that you get to stay for another year. What a relief! But I am sorry to hear of your son and eventually his family moving away. I dread the thought of that some day.

My heart goes out to you today. A year of change. As one of my friends always says, "Look for the hidden blessings" whenever she does that it takes the sadness of a situation away. Blessings to you!

I'm so happy for you, that you have another year at the farm! You definitely don't need that stress right now, what with your grands moving away. This will give you time to find the perfect place for you and your family. Can't tell you how jealous I am that you're getting some chickens. It's one of my dreams....

Western Washington...hmmm...I know where that is. School eh? What trade Holly? That is a hard road to go back and forth but the love of his family makes it all worth while.

Changes coming again but at least you have time to make choices. I just know the next move will be even better. Perhaps there is another Farm Sweet Farm that will be just over the top perfect in everyway.

I know you'll be blooming wherever God plants you.
