Shopping For The Booth

Imagine that- I actually have been doing something other than house hunting!  My local thrift store is the best place to find vintage goodies for amazing prices!  AS IF I need more to pack up-right?!  But if I want to have a booth some day then I need to keep collecting!  Some of these things I might keep for myself like the cutting board which is not vintage but *IS* pretty!  Underneath all this haul is a chenille popcorn spread.  It's the first time I've ever found vintage chenille at the thrifts!  It gives me a little thrill.  ☺  I'm not sure if the ice cream scoop is vintage or not.  Does anyone else know?  I've never seen one in that color before.  My happiest find was the metal ice cub tray.  I remember getting my tongue stuck on one of those when I was a kid!

Thanks for all the paint and arrangement advice!  Isn't it fun to decorate a new space?

It is a huge thrill to decorate a new place!!! I grew up with ice cube trays like those, craziness, right?! But I didn't stick my tongue on them ;) Hugs ~ Mary

Lots of goodies there! You'll have your booth going before you know it! Enjoying the pictures of your new home too, and all the ideas people are passing on. Since I live in a log 'cabin', I'm not able to offer advice on paint, etc.
So happy the house worked out for you!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Wonderful news, you are going to have a booth! My suggestion is shop smart, pay very little and charge reasonable. You want to sell it all and turn stuff quick! Set a bottom price...mine is $1.99 nothing is lower than that in my booth because by the time you pay the rent/commission and some places are charging you for your credit card sales and insurance it needs to make sense.
You are a good "picker" and your goodies will go!

Oh...My goodness! Just look at that chenille and all the other pretties! I have been blessed to find three beautiful chenille bedspreads at thrift stores and for very reasonable prices, too. They are hard to come by and snatched up so quickly. I'm happy for you, Holly.
Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, those ice cube trays! I remember my fingers sticking to them as I tried to get the ice loose. Good times.

BTW - those sell like crazy at my antique mall. I guess another generation wants to get their fingers and tongues stuck.

Oh Holly, that's so funny, because I remember getting my tongue stuck on the metal ice cube tray too! The question is WHY did we put our tongue on it???
Nothing wrong with collecting for your future booth. Gotta be prepared when your dream comes true!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Carol

Holly, I have goosebumps on my arms thinking how happy you will be to make this beautiful home your own. I love the openness of the rooms. It will become so charming with your vintage things. PS I love your way of shopping, "One for the store, one for me!"
Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving Day! Elizabeth
