Big City Big Rewards

Eeeks!  These Lefton kitties were my BIG reward after going up to the city and getting 30 shots in my leg!  Do you have a wish list?  I do- and these kitties were on it!  I wish you all could have seen my face when I found them!  I would love to acquire the whole set of kitties but the S&P shakers were the perfect first!  They are missing their stoppers so I got a good deal.  Who cares about the stoppers- I just want their sweet faces! Prepare to be jealous because the hubs really spoiled me on our big shopping day!  We went to soooo many shops- antique malls, thrifts and flea markets!
Yay!  I finally have a lamby planter now too!  It was another item on my wish list!  Now I'll be able to join the Easter parade next year!
I found another canister set, too!  So bright and happy!  I actually was hoping to find a blue or pink set this time around but red sets are much more common up here.
For now, the new set is in the kitchen but I think most of us end up moving things all around- right?  ☺
THIS Alpine Chalet bread pan was a sentimental find.  This is the pattern of my early childhood. ♥  My mom was all about blue and green- even her cars.  I didn't even know Fire King made anything with this pattern on it until I joined Pinterest!  I haven't researched it enough to know if I got a good deal but I HAD to have it!
I bought more little potholders to add to my collection, too!  There are sooo many thrifts and antique stores in the city.  This country girl had FUN!
We had the perfect date day and hopefully, I'm all done with leg procedures now!

I'm linking up with Rednesday at Cottage Sweet Cottage for this post!

Holly, you did find some wonderful Vintage Treasures! I am so happy that you are getting used to living in the burbs, just close enough to some open space. That is kinda how it is here in Thousand Oaks California... I already have one of your super cute garlands so I will let someone else have a chance to win! hugs, Diane

Looks like you found lots of wonderful things. I love your aqua blue crocheted potholder! That's one of the colors that I look for. Your little lambie planter is so cute. I need to post a picture of mine one of these days.

I have almost the same lamb planter as yours. Aren't they the cutest?!

I love those the Lefton kitties! How cute! I have metal canisters like that but with a rose print. Still trying to decide if I should put them on our garage sale or not. Glad you had such great finds!

There are definitely great perks to living in the city. Like access to much more vintage stuff! I will keep my eyes open for more pieces of that Lefton Miss Priss to add to your collection. I see just about everything at our flea market!

Yes, I have a wish list but I find that my wish list was once so long that it touched the sky. I brought it back down to reality and decided 5 things at a time would be a decent amount to wish for.

I stay true to my quest!

Liddle Kiddle Dolls I don't have!

Pomeranian puppies I can hardly resist!

The perfect pink paint for my poodle bathroom!

A storybook home to spend the rest of my life in.

A ticket to Disneyland for a fun vacation.

I love those kitties however, maybe I should add them as #6 to my list. I see the pattern here and there but not often Holly and that's what makes it so fun to collect and wish!

Holly I love your little cute kittens so sweet and the canister set is adorable. Why don't they make those anymore? I bought a new vintage set once but have not seen any vintage ones in my area not surprised there!

Oh Holly! I bet you stopped dead in your tracks when you saw the kitties! When I found one at the thrift store I walked the isles for the next 30 minutes looking for her partner on another shelf! You can pick up a cork at the hardware store if you want to actually use the S&P! Happy Day to you!

The kitties are fabulous! And the lamb is adorable too! I don't see those in good shape anymore. The thrifts eat them alive!

Oh my gosh thirty shots! Needles give me the willies, I would have fainted for sure - hurray for all that cute stuff to (somewhat) take the sting out of the experience!

Happy Rednesday!
