Yo Yo Scarecrow!

One of my earliest memories is playing with a weird yo yo clown doll so I made a decorative yo yo scarecrow!
I think he's cute!
Bobby helped me figure out his assembly.
I just took the original body off a mini scarecrow and put yo yos
on the attached dowel rod for his body.
Bobby made a little piece of wood for the bottom so he can sit and I used wrapped around florist wires for the arms and legs!
I wasn't sure what to use for hands and feet so I used my rag balls.
There was instructions online for using thread for a whole body of a yo yo doll but I'm not very good at following instructions!
That's probably why I "invent" so many of my own crafts.
I'll probably add more raffia and stuff to him but I just couldn't wait to show you!

I think he needs a name.  Any suggestions?
I'm linking up to Rednesday over at Brown Gingham Creations!

Yo, Holly! He is so gosh darn cute! You really are SO good at inventing new crafts, and I'd be pretty happy if I had just half your imagination. Love Donna's idea of calling him Scraps!

He's so wonderfully colorful! I like Donna's idea of scraps for a nickname. You are really good at inventing new crafts. I like how your husband helped out too!

Now that's what repurposing is all about!! Great job, Holly...he is absolutely adorable! I have made a small promise to myself to try to save money and use up the materials I have on hand. I hope I can stick to it. I will need to buy things like paint and glue, but no more stockpiling supplies without a project in mind. I think this will make me more creative...it has in the past.

He's so cute! :-) I have a yo-yo doll that sits on the top shelf in my crafting area. (A gift from one of my sisters a few years ago.)

Aw Holly,
He's too adorable. Nothin weird bout him.
Ya like Monkey. He is a sweetie. I did a close up of Shadow cause his whole face is way too pretty to be frightening. He's a Norwegian Elkgound and they do look like a Timberwolf, but are over 2000 years removed. They are one of oldest breeds. Great with kids and other animals. As matter of fact Monkey is one of 9 cats someone threw in out yard 3 yrs ago. 3 hairless and eyes tight shut...they didn't have a chance they were too young....the others were a few days to a week old. Our Vet said someone had a kitten moll around us and must've killed the mothers somehow and knew where throw the babies. We took em in..I am not a cat person, had dogs all my life.....had no idea how to care for em, but we hand fed and took care of em best we could getting em ready to sell for donation to the local SPCA, but Shadow decided he was takin over and has taught em everything they needed to know. Today they are his Kittencaboodle.. to my relief they actually act like dogs more than cats. They use a litter box to which Shadow never would try, but this breed is known to be able to be box trained.. He can't get them to follow him outside...they don't like catnip, and LOL....they are terrified of mice!! But they do catch Flies of SHadow is terrified...he was born on a dairy farm with lots of horseflies...bees and wasps he bites at flies he runs from a room.

At my age, thought I had seen most things, but never have seen a YoYo scare crow. He is just the cutest. How clever and talented you are.

Holly, the scarecrow is so much better than a clown...clowns were never my favorite. He's so cute, and colorful. I think you did great with the hands and feet.

Hmm...a name...JoYo, YoJo? I agree with Scraps - it's cute, and he's certainly is a Happy Scrappy fellow.
